A non-profit 501(c)(3) community service, consumer  cooperative. Our mission is to educate consumers about the consumer credit protection laws, and how to use those laws to be informed and responsible credit consumers.

  • Consumers nationwide have had a void of information about their rights under the consumer credit protection laws, and the entire credit industry.

  • Consumers are often misrepresented by credit reporting companies.

  • Consumers who have had problems are often abused by collection agencies, and then written off as dead beats.

  • Consumers who need help the most are often taken advantange of by credit repair companies who may charge exhorbitant fees to do what consumers can do better for themselves.

  • Consumers are prequalified in almost every industry and institution by credit status. Credit services are necessary to purchase and lease, for employment, banking and insurance. It is almost impossible to survive  without some use of credit.

  • Our objectives are to educate consumers about the Consumer Credit Protection Laws, and how to exercise their rights to reestablish credit through the dissemination of credit related educational material to the public and to counseling professionals.
  • To assist the public in preventing or correcting abusive or inappropriate practices through programs of education, inquiry, training, investigation, and referral to government agencies where further preventive or corrective action is indicated.
