The Fair Credit Reporting Act was revised in 1997 to give consumers access to all three credit reporting  company files once a year. You can get all three versions of your credit report  from Transunion Equifax & Experian for free once a year at :

www.annualcreditreport.com 

 This is not one of those phoney sites that will charge a fee  and try to sell you a credit monitoring service. This is a government site it is free and  even allows you to dispute negative information right online!
